    Our Opportunity:
    The Pricing and Margin Analyst will be responsible for the driving and executing all customer facing pricing activity and delivering on merchandise margin expectations. Scope of role extends to all product lines and websites with varying objectives based on each site’s pricing strategy. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Procurement, this role will be critical to driving growth in profit through margin optimization utilizing various tools, systems and analyses to execute.

    Essential Functions

    • Daily monitoring of competitive pricing across key competitors and adjusting internal pricing to maintain established price position
    • Weekly monitoring/reporting of margin performance and identification of actions/changes to pricing
    • Drive creation of dashboard to monitor KPI (Key Performance Indicators) results and identify exceptions
    • Establishment of pricing groups to ensure common items are appropriated benchmarked against each other and remain cohesive as prices change
    • Creation of price elasticity analysis to better inform impact to customer behavior and margin results due to both changes in commodities prices (market) and premiums
    • Implementation of price elasticity guidelines into model to optimize margin results
    • Execution and analysis of weekly promotional activity
    • Partner with Buyback organization to ensure pricing for customer buybacks remains within target margins
    • Monitors and maintains activities to ensure items with high weeks of supply are appropriately priced and managed
    • Identifies opportunities to enhance internal price management and customer facing value proposition
    • Performs Ad Hoc analysis to identify areas of opportunity. Recommends solutions and implements processes/tools to achieve desired results
    • Manage and improve operational processes, policies, and systems in support of the organization’s mission and to improve efficiency and quality
    • Document SOPs for tasks and roles with supporting Flow Charts/Decision trees. Consolidate SOPs into onboarding and training tools

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Competencies

    • Strong business acumen in identifying areas of opportunity and solutions to address
    • Price management and margin optimization experience in retail or other consumer segments
    • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
    • Ability to use data from multiple sources for both analysis and optimizing operational processes
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Demonstrated leadership in managing projects and strong drive for results in a fast-paced environment
    • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
    • Ability to look at situations from several points of view and make good judgment calls
    • Strong relationship skills including peer leadership, accountability, team alignment

    Experience, Requirements & Education

    • Hybrid work environment role requiring regular on-site attendance
    • College degree required
    • At least 5 years’ experience in relevant duties and responsibilities for this role with preferred experience in functions such as: retail pricing, merchandise performance, margin management, inventory management, etc.
    • Experience in Business Intelligence tools, Database and Visual Basic
    • Experience with process documentation and improvement, six sigma, continuous improvement or related methodologies preferred but not required
    • Precious metals experience is not required
