The Prospector – Retro

One of the original silver bar designs from SilverTowne was the Prospector. A name given to those who moved west during the 19^th century in America hoping for wealth in the form of precious metals, prospectors often found themselves hopelessly poor. The Prospector became the logo of SilverTowne Mint, along with the pickax he used to dig for precious metals in the hopes of becoming wealthy.

The SilverTowne Prospector Retro silver bars feature a horizontal or landscape orientation for the design on the obverse side. Here, you’ll find the Prospector walking with his pickax slung over his shoulder as he walks leading his pack mule along to what he hopes will be the next discovery of gold or silver. On the reverse of the Prospector Retro bars are the images of SilverTowne’s copyrighted logo, the location of the company’s headquarters, and the weight, purity, and metal content of the bars.

These Prospector Retro silver bars are available as minted ingots and come with a 1 oz silver weight as the most popular choice.

The Prospector – Modern

SilverTowne has recently introduced a modernized vision for its Prospector design that includes a variety of different weight options. The new silver bars in the Prospector range have a vertical or portrait alignment for the design. The Prospector design element is featured within a circular design field at the top of the obverse side. Below it are engravings of the purity, metal content, and weight of the bar, as well as the SilverTowne name. For the reverse field, SilverTowne uses its mint name and a smaller version of the Prospector in landscape orientation with a cross-hatched background field.

Available weights in this collection include 1 oz, 5 oz, and 10 oz silver bars. Each of these weights is produced as minted ingots.

SilverTowne Eagle Bars – Retro

Like the Prospector collection, SilverTowne has a retro and modern version of its popular Eagle design on silver bullion bars. As with the Prospector version, the retro Eagle silver bars have a horizontal design element on the obverse. This distinctive design captures the American bald eagle as it rests on the national heraldic shield of the United States. The bird’s wings are spread wide and it clutches a ribbon in its beak that reads “SilverTowne” and “1 Ounce .999 Fine Silver.” The bird also clutches the arrows of war in one talon with the olive branch of peace in its other talon. Like the Prospector Retro, the Eagle Retro’s bar includes a reverse design with the mint name and a cross-hatched background.

SilverTowne Eagle Bars – Modern

SilverTowne has also modernized its Eagle Silver Bar design, much like the Prospector. Now arranged vertically down the bar’s obverse, the modern Eagle Silver Bar captures the majestic national symbol of the United States as it flies down onto the branch of a tree with its powerful wings stretched to the maximum behind its figure. These are the only design elements on this side of the bar. The reverse of the bar maintains the use of a cross-hatched background field with the Prospector logo at the bottom of the design field.

The Eagle Retro bar is predominantly available as a 1 oz silver bar, while SilverTowne offers the modern Eagle design with 1 oz and 5 oz silver bar options for investors to purchase.

SilverTowne American Flag Bars

The American flag is one of the most powerful symbols in the United States. Known as the Stars and Stripes or Old Glory, the American flag is an icon that features 13 alternating lines of red and white with a blue field in the corner with 50 white stars. The design on the obverse of these bars features the American flag in landscape orientation as it would feature flying from a pole. American Flag Silver Bars are available in 1 oz and 10 oz silver, two of the most popular weights for silver bars. The reverse field includes a blank central oval that is surrounded by wreaths of leaves. Inscriptions include the weight above, with “.999 Fine Silver” below the blank field.

SilverTowne Buffalo Bars

The Buffalo Nickel was one of the most coveted circulation coin designs in American history. Available from 1913 to 1938, the Buffalo Nickel coin includes the effigy of a Native American leader on the obverse in right-profile relief with an inscription of “Liberty.” The reverse side of the coins included the left-profile relief of an American bison. Designed by James Earle Fraser, the Buffalo Nickel’s obverse was inspired by the facial features of three real-life Native American tribal leaders in the early 20^th century. The reverse was inspired by Black Diamond, a bison living in the Central Park Zoo in the early 20^th century.

On the obverse of SilverTowne Buffalo Bars is the image of Fraser’s obverse coin design. Only the word “Liberty” is inscribed in the round field at the top of the bar with “.999 Fine Silver” and the weight below. The reverse of the bars includes the reverse design of the bison, with a cross-hatched background field behind the beast. Inscriptions on this side are found within the round design field and include only “United States of America” and “E Pluribus Unum.”

The SilverTowne Buffalo Silver Bar is a popular offering and is aligned with SilverTowne’s issuance of silver rounds of the same design as well. The bars are available as 1 oz, 5 oz, and 10 oz silver options.

SilverTowne Poured Bars

SilverTowne also offers a variety of cast or poured silver bars for investors to purchase. The options here range from simple poured bars with only inscriptions of the SilverTowne name and the bar’s weight, purity, and metal content.
