The first six designs of the American Western Skulls Collection of silver rounds focused on the lawmen and soldiers providing a sense of order in the West, the outlaws they pursued, and the indigenous tribal members trying to protect their lands from encroaching outsiders. This seventh release has a different take, but still focuses on a popular character in Wild West lore.
All 5 oz Antique American Western Skulls Gambler Silver Rounds are available to you with an individual protective plastic capsule. The rounds feature a unique serial number engraved onto the edge and come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity that includes the same serial number. These antique rounds have a distinct polish that leaves a matte finish and the visual appeal of ancient currency.
On the obverse of 5 oz Antique American Western Skulls Gambler Silver Rounds is the image of a gambling character. With a cigarette in his mouth and towering top hat, the Gambler is wide-eyed as he looks at his hand of cards. Below his skull are two aces from the black suits and two eights from the black suits.
Known as the Dead Man’s hand, the aces and eights is rumored to be the hand Wild Bill Hickok was holding in his hands while playing poker the day he died. Hickok was gambling at a saloon in Deadwood, Dakota Territory when Jack McCall came up to him from behind and shot him dead on the spot.
The reverse of all Antique American Western Skulls Gambler Silver Rounds includes the image of the fried eagle, a common design used throughout the series. It features the same imagery as the heraldic eagle, with the deadly twist of a fried bird that has no feathers left on its frame.
