Geiger Edelmetalle’s Original Series features the square bar shape and iconic designs of the refinery’s branded silver products. Each bar has Geiger’s premium security features included. The obverse is minted with a pearl finish, and all bars have ribbed edges similar to bullion coinage.
There is a textured, high-relief feel to the reverse side of the bars. Each one has a unique serial number that matches up to the Certificate of Authenticity provided with individual bar purchases. There is a UV-coating that displays the manufacturer’s logo when placed under a black light, and security labels enclose all capsules, tubes, and boxes.
On the obverse of the 1 Gram Geiger Square Silver Bar is the image of Schloss Guldengossa. The headquarters of the refinery today, the castle was built near Leipzig, Germany in 1720 and was the first registered office of the company. Engravings on this side include the name of the refinery and the bar’s weight, metal content, and purity.
The reverse of each Geiger Square Silver Bar features the unique repeating pattern. The LEV rhombus is found repeating across this bar, which your eye will catch as either a pattern at a 45-degree angle or in straight vertical lines across the bar. The LEV rhombus, UV-coating security mark is found on this side when a black light is applied to the surface.
Geiger Edelmetalle was founded in 1218 in Leipzig when merchants established the oldest silver trading market in Germany. The Saxony mountains of southeastern Germany have been home to the nation’s silver trade for more than 1,000 years now.
