Due to the immense popularity of the 2016 Hobo Nickel Silver rounds, a new crop of designers have been chosen and the Osborne Mint is striking a selection of all-new 2017 Hobo Nickel silver rounds in concert with Heads or Tales Coin Company for investors and collectors. The new releases will feature different obverse and reverse designs, all from different artists. Right now, the 5 oz Antique Graveyard Shift Silver Round is available to purchase online from JM Bullion.
Round Highlights:
Each of the 5 oz Antique Graveyard Shift Silver Rounds in this listing are available with an antique finish on the round. Products with an antique finish vary from mint to mint, but by in large, products with this finish have added warmth in appearance and depth to the overall detail of the round.
Additionally, your 1 oz Antique Graveyard Silver Round arrives in protective plastic with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Designed by Chris DeFlorentis, these Graveyard Shift Silver Rounds are the seventh release of the Hobo Nickel series, and just the second of the 2017 release schedule.
On the obverse of the 5 oz Antique Graveyard Shift Silver Round is the haunting image of Death as he strolls through the graveyard. His scythe is held tightly in his boney right hand, while his left hand extends a scroll featuring the names of the dead he seeks in the cemetery.
The reverse of each of these rounds includes a unique take on a fisherman out looking for a meal. Rather than casting a line in hopes of catching a meal, you’ll see a fish on shore casting out his line with a fisherman on the hook as a bait.
All Hobo Nickel Series silver rounds are struck at the Osborne Mint in tandem with the designers at Heads or Tales Coin Company. Osborne Mint is the oldest private minting facility in the United States and is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company can trace its roots back to the 1830s.
