That assay card features the mint name and a serial number on one side, with the weight, purity, metal content, and signature of a certified assayer on the other side.
The obverse face of 2.5 Gram Argor-Heraeus Gold Bars features the inscriptions of the mint logo, nation of origin, weight, metal content, purity, assayer’s mark, and unique serial number. The mint logo consists of a circle with the initials “AH” in the center and the full name of the mint around it. The bottom of the bar includes the assayer’s stamp and a unique serial number engraved in a six-digit numeric code.
On the reverse side of 2.5 Gram Argor-Heraeus Gold Bars there are no design elements or marks of any kind. Many investment-grade bars feature no markings on the reverse field. Argor-Heraeus was founded in 1951 as Argor SA in the Swiss city of Chiasso. UBS acquired 100% ownership of the mint in 1973 and brought in the German Heraeus group in 1986, setting the groundwork for the modern Argor-Heraeus.
