The Terracotta Army was discovered on March 29, 1974, by a group of farmers. Yang Zhifa, his five brothers, and his neighbor were digging a well when they discovered the tomb. The figures were buried approximately in 210 BCE. As of 2007, it is estimated that the Terracotta Army tomb holds more than 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots, 520 horses, and 150 cavalry horses.
