On the obverse of the 2024 Somalia Silver Elephant, you will find a depiction of the Somali coat of arms. This seal appears on all coins in the series and has since 2004. It showcases a crowned shield with a single star at the center backed by a field of horizontal lines. The shield is supported on either side by a leopard.

The reverse side of 2024 1 oz Silver Elephant Coins comes with a new design for 2024. In this year’s design, two male bull elephants are shown engaged in combat. It is common for male elephants to spar with one another during mating season for the attention of female bush elephants.
