Also known as the Hotaméteneo’o, or Dog Soldiers, these Native Americans are one of the Cheyenne military societies. One of the Dog Soldiers is seen riding a horse at the viewer while we can see a closeup of one of their faces in the background.
The reverse side of the 2024 Proof Native America the Beautiful Nebraska Silver Coin showcases the bald eagle design consistent with other coins in this series. The eagle is seen in the center of the design field, in left-profile relief, with an eight-pointed star framing it.

The Cheyenne tribe fought back as they had six military societies that played a prominent role in the Native American resistance to this act.
