The British Britannia Series was introduced by The Royal Mint in 1987. Originally, the series featured only gold bullion coins, with silver bullion coins later added in 1997 and platinum bullion coins in the 21st century. The Britannia Series features England’s monarch on the obverse with the allegorical figure of Britannia on the reverse. Today, 2024 1 oz British Gold Britannia Coins in MintID cards are available online at JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
British Gold Britannias feature four security elements included within the design of the coin. On the reverse side, you’ll notice motion-texture lines in the background field mimicking the waves of the ocean. Additionally, there is a latent security mark, tincture lines on the Union Jack shield, and micro-text around the Britannia image.
