Austrian Philharmonic coins have been available from the Austrian Mint since 1989. The series launched as a gold bullion collection and, for nearly 30 years, was available only with gold bullion weights for investors. In the 2000s and 2010s, the program began to expand to other metals, with platinum bullion coins the most recent to enter production. Today, 2024 1 oz Austrian Platinum Philharmonic Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
Austrian Philharmonics were introduced in 1989 with 1 oz and 1/4 oz gold coins as the only options available to investors. Expansion of the gold series came in 1991, 1994, and 2014, but it was 2008 that marked the first expansion of the series to other metals. First, the mint introduced a silver coin in 2008 and then platinum coins in 2016.
