The 2024 Canadian Gold Maple Leaf charts a new course forward, one that is unlike any other change in the program’s history. Introduced in 1979, the coins historically featured four different portraits of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Throughout the entire history of this series, she was the only monarch to feature on the coins. Now, with a new portrait of King Charles III ready for production, the Royal Canadian Mint enters uncharted territory with a new monarch on the obverse for the first time.
All of the 2024 1/4 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Sheets offered here include a total of 20 coins. Each coin in the sheet has .9999 pure gold content and is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. There is a total of 5 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold available in this listing.
On the obverse of 2024 Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coins, you will find the first-ever bust of His Majesty King Charles III. Succeeding his mother, the Late Queen Elizabeth II, Charles III is shown in left-profile relief wearing a suit and does not have a crown on his head.
The reverse side of the 2024 1/4 oz Gold Maple Leaf features the iconic, historic image of the sugar maple leaf. This image has been on the reverse of all coins in this series since the collection debuted in 1979.
