Coin Highlights:
The Bible provides specific dimensions for Noah’s Ark. It was to be 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high (Genesis 6:15). The exact length of a cubit can vary, but it’s generally considered to be around 18 inches (45 centimeters). Based on this estimation, the ark would have been approximately 450 feet (137 meters) long, 75 feet (23 meters) wide, and 45 feet (14 meters) high. This massive size was intended to provide enough space to accommodate the animals, food, and Noah’s family during their time on the ark.

On the obverse of the 2024 Armenian Gold Noah’s Ark, you will find an image of the national coat of arms. The Armenian coat of arms blends the ancient history of the Kingdom of Armenia with the Soviet-era symbolism of the region. The seal includes a quartered shield with a smaller shield at the center depicting Noah’s Ark.
