Lunar Series III coins in the 2024 Year of the Dragon range feature a unique P125 mint mark. This combines the traditional P mint mark of Perth Mint with the 125, the latter of which honors the 125th anniversary of the founding of Perth Mint in 1899. The Perth Mint opened in 1899 as the final branch mint of the Royal Mint in Australia.
The obverse of the 2024 Australian Silver Lunar Dragon Coin comes with a depiction of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Designed in 2015 by Jody Clark, this right-profile relief of the late Queen shows her at the age of 89 with the George IV State Diadem.
On the reverse side of 2024 1/2 oz Silver Lunar Dragons, you will find an image of the Chinese dragon. This work of art from Ing Ing Jong shows the coiled body of the dragon reaching up to the top field of the coin. The dragon’s head is in front-facing relief with water pouring out of its mouth.
