Coin Highlights:
The story of Noah's Ark is primarily found in the Book of Genesis in the Bible. According to the biblical account, God chose Noah, a righteous man, to build an ark to save his family and a pair of every kind of animal from a worldwide flood.
Noah followed God's instructions and built the ark, which was a massive vessel made of gopher wood and coated with pitch. The floodwaters covered the earth for 40 days and 40 nights, and the ark eventually came to rest on the mountains of Ararat after the waters receded. Historically, Mount Ararat was within the borders of the former Kingdom of Armenia.
On the obverse of the 2024 1/2 oz Gold Noah’s Ark Coin, you will find the Armenian coat of arms. The national seal contains symbolism of both Armenia’s recent Soviet-era history and its ancient history as the Kingdom of Armenia. The seal includes a heraldic lion on one side and a heraldic eagle on the other. The quartered shield includes additional eagles and lions, with a shield at the center featuring Noah’s Ark.
The reverse side of 2024 Armenian Gold Noah’s Ark Coins comes with a vision of Noah’s Ark. This stylized depiction captures the calm after the storm as the sun rises, the rains have stopped, and the flood waters begin to recede. The ark floats calmly on the water as Mount Ararat rises in the background.
These 2024 1/2 oz Armenian Gold Noah’s Ark Coins are individually packaged in security capsules. Within the security capsule, you will find a card that has the Certificate of Authenticity details for the coin.
