Coin Highlights:
The design of the American Gold Eagle can be traced back to 1907 with the $20 Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle. Augustus Saint-Gaudens was commissioned by Theodore Roosevelt to create this design. Its popularity has led to it being the obverse imagery on these coins since their debut in 1986. The reverse field was a family of bald eagles from 1986 to 2021. In the latter half of 2021, the new Jennie Norris design started being featured.
Each 2024 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coin will arrive in a protective plastic slab from the PCGS. These coins have been graded as Mint State 70 by the PCGS indicating a perfect specimen. These coins showcase their full, original mint luster with no detractions of any kind. The First Strike indication means that they were received for grading within 30 days of the coin being initially released.
Walking Liberty is on the obverse field of every 2024 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coin. This Augustus Saint-Gaudens design was first used in 1907. It displays Liberty holding a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other as she walks toward the viewer.
Jennie Norris’ bald eagle design is seen on the reverse field of the 2024 1/10 oz American Eagle Coin. This recently created design features a close-up portrait of an eagle in left-profile relief.
