Introduced in 1878, the Morgan Silver Dollar was the last silver dollar used widely in the US. They were minted every year until 1904, then again in 1921 after a 17-year break. The 2021 release marked the coin's revival, celebrating 100 years since its last widespread use.
All 2023-S Proof Morgan Silver Dollar Coins are available for purchase in perfect condition. PF70 coins exhibit their original mint luster and have no defects whatsoever. An Advanced Release coin is one that the NGC received for certification within the first 30 days of release by the mint.
The obverse side of the 2023-S Proof Morgan Dollars carries the original design from 1878 by George T. Morgan. The portrait depicts Liberty facing left, wearing a Phrygian cap. She also wears a laurel wreath and a small crown.
On the reverse side, the 2023-S Proof Morgan Silver Dollars display a heraldic eagle, also designed by George T. Morgan. The bald eagle is shown in a front-facing relief, holding arrows of war in one talon and an olive branch of peace in the other.
