The United States Mint brought back two of the most popular historic US silver dollar designs in 2021. The launch of 2021 Morgan and Peace Dollars was so popular that the US Mint has again issued modern silver bullion versions of the coin. Coin Highlights:
Each of the 2023 Peace Silver Dollar Coins available here come in Mint State 69 condition. Coins in this condition exhibit full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detractions. These flaws are limited to minuscule contact marks or hairlines that must be outside the primary focal points. The First Strike designation is for coins received by the PCGS for grading within 30 days of release from the mint.
Peace Dollars were designed by Anthony di Francisci, an Italian-American sculptor. Di Francisci is most famous for designing the Peace Dollar, a silver coin minted in the United States from 1921 to 1935. His design for the Peace Dollar was selected through a competition held by the U.S. Mint in 1921.
On the obverse of the 2023 Peace Silver Dollar, you will find di Francisci’s iconic image of Lady Liberty. This left-profile relief shows Liberty with a radiant crown on her head and free-flowing hair.
The reverse side of 2023 Peace Dollars comes with an image of the American bald eagle. In this design, the eagle is at rest with its wings at its side as it sits perched on a rock ledge with its back to the viewer. The eagle is clutching an olive branch of peace in its talons.
