In 2023, the British Silver Britannia entered a new era of production. The 2023 release of Silver Britannias featured two waves of coin issues, with the earliest releases from the mint featuring the final bust of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. In early 2023, the first King Charles III Silver Britannias began to appear. Right now, 2023 1 oz British Silver Britannia Tubes are available to purchase online from JM Bullion’s MintSealed program.
Coin Highlights:
Each of the 2023 1 oz British Silver Britannia Tubes available here comes with a total of 25 individual Britannias. All of the 2023 Silver Britannias in this tube are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and offer investors the first bust of His Majesty King Charles III. MintSealed coin tubes represent the highest-quality coins from Royal Mint boxes that we have chosen to seal in plastic as a sign that these coins remain in the same condition as the moment the mint struck and packaged these Britannias.
From the introduction of the British Silver Britannia until early 2023, the Royal Mint offered the coins with a bust of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. From 1997 to 2023, three different portraits of the Queen featured on the coins: Raphael Maklouf’s 1985 portrait, Ian Rank-Broadley’s 1998 portrait, and Jody Clark’s 2015 bust of Her Late Majesty.
In the obverse design of the 2023 British Silver Britannia, you will find the first-generation effigy of King Charles III. This design comes from Martin Jennings and follows in British coinage tradition. His Majesty is shown in left-profile relief, the opposite of Her Late Majesty, and he lacks a crown, another tradition for male monarchs.
For the reverse field of 2023 1 oz Silver Britannias, you will find the timeless effigy of Britannia. Designed in 1987 by Philip Nathan, the front-facing effigy of Britannia’s figure includes a trident in one hand and the Union Jack shield resting beneath the other.

"Tube arrived with top of MintSeal sealing wrap broken & tube cap popped completely open, due to heavy stack of 25 1 oz. troy coins (~1.7 normal pounds, non-troy weight) shifting in transit, in spite of multiple layers of OTHER packaging (bubble wrap & Tyvek mailing pouch + cardboard box, with crumpled brown paper filler for padding) that appeared *to me* to be quite adequate for the journey. I think the MintSeal failing was partly from the usual rough handling by FedEx employees in transit, but mostly because the MintSeal wrap is not much more durable than the sealing wrap that you get on an average bottle of aspirin. It seems, to me, not nearly durable & flexible enough to do its job, without breaking; and I certainly won't be buying any more MintSealed coins from JMB, ever again. Fortunately, all 25 coins were still inside of the tube & unharmed, at a glance; mirror proof on both sides & ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I sent customer service a picture of broken seal and my invoice, and I received the option of a coupon code for a -$30 refund on my next purchase, which I immediately used to buy a 1 oz.t. Argor Heraeus platinum bar. (I could also have sent the tube back for a replacement, which is another nice option to have too.) So "all's well that ends well"! I am still TOTALLY in love with my 25 coins, so color me VERY HAPPY. I have given this product a 2 star rating strictly because I don't think the MintSeal wrapping is anywhere near durable enough, for the job it is intended to do; and, therefore, I won't be buying any MintSealed items again in the future. The seal is not nearly durable nor flexible enough to justify the added cost, in my personal opinion, esp. for someone that moves around as often as I do. Otherwise, amazing coins & I am completely thrilled to own them! The discount coupon MORE than covers the difference between a tube of MintSealed coins & a regular non-MintSealed tube, so I hold no grudge against JMB & I will continue to buy from JMB in the future ... just not any MintSealed coins, unless they change to a considerably more durable / less fragile sealing method."
"I love it"
"Received my shipment today of ‘Mint Sealed’ 25 pieces. Upon opening the package, I found the coin container seal is broken and the coins loose within. The ‘mint seal’ is now lost in my investment"
