This coin is a modern interpretation of a historic gold coin that was used in the late 18th century at the height of the United Kingdom’s global power. This coin gained its name due to the shield being in the shape of a spade as well as the gold it contained originating from modern-day Guinea.
2023 1/10 oz St. Helena Silver Spade Guinea Shield Coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Silver coins will arrive in individual plastic flips. Multiples will ship in either tubes of 50 coins or boxes of 5,000 coins.
The obverse field of 2023 St. Helena Silver Spade Guinea Shield Coins features the effigy of King Charles III. The King is shown in left-profile relief, the opposite direction that the queen was normally facing. Identifying marks of the coin surround this image.
