The American Silver Eagle is the world’s best-selling silver coin. In order to support the demand for these coins, the US Mint often has to turn to other mints beyond the West Point Mint to ensure there are enough BU Silver Eagles for investors. Since 2011, the San Francisco Mint has been issuing supplemental coins when needed. With staffing issues, the COVID-19 pandemic, and skyrocketing demand in 2020, the Philadelphia Mint stepped in as well with emergency releases of the American Silver Eagle. That trend has continued in 2021. Today, perfect 2021 (P) 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.

In 1999 and 2000, the Philadelphia Mint issued the BU Silver Eagles for the US Mint. As of 2001, the West Point Mint has had the primary responsibility for coining all versions of the American Eagle. When demand exceeds the capacity of the mint, other mints have to assist in coining Brilliant Uncirculated versions of the Silver Eagle. In 2020 and 2021, the Philadelphia Mint has produced emergency releases of the coin to ensure supply keeps up with demand.
All of the 2021 (P) 1 oz American Silver Eagles listed here come with a perfect certification. Coins in Mint State 70 condition have full, original mint luster and bear no detracting flaws. The special First Day of Issue designation assigned to these coins indicates the timing of the coin’s arrival for grading. FDOI coins were received within 24 hours of the US Mint’s release.
On the obverse of 2021 (P) Silver Eagle Coins is an effigy of Liberty known as Walking Liberty. Designed by Adolph A. Weinman, the image depicts Liberty in left-profile relief as she strides across the landscape toward the sun rising over a mountain. Her right hand reaches out toward the sun as her left carries the branches of oak and laurel. As she walks, her figure is draped in the American flag.
The reverse field of 2021 (P) 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coins bears the heraldic eagle design. First created in 1794 by Robert Scot, this version of the heraldic eagle was modernized in 1986 by John Mercanti. It features a powerful eagle supporting the US national shield as it clutches the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace.
