On the obverse of 2021 Reverse Proof Gold Libertad Coins is the image of Winged Victory. Based on the Angel of Independence visions from Mexican culture and the Winged Victory statue on the Mexican Independence Victory Column, her figure is shown in three-quarter profile relief with a laurel wreath in one hand and a set of broken chains in the other hand.
The reverse side of the 2021 1/2 oz Reverse Proof Gold Libertad features the modern coat of arms for Mexico. This design shows the powerful golden eagle battling a serpent from the arm of a prickly pear cactus.
