The 2020 release of Proof American Silver Eagles was the last year in which the Silver Eagles were available all year with the original design combinations. The collectible silver coins remain immensely popular with collectors each year and had a mintage in 2020 in excess of 350,000 coins. Today, 2020-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins in perfect condition are available to you online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
The Proof American Silver Eagle has experienced a lot of variety in recent years. Since 2018, the US Mint has issued the standard W-Proof American Silver Eagle alongside a low-mintage S-Proof Silver Eagle struck at the San Francisco Mint. Certain years, such as 2019, saw additional Enhanced Reverse Proof Coins struck by both mints along with the traditional proofs.
All of the 2020-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins available in this product listing are in perfect condition. Coins in PF70 condition have full, original mint luster with no detracting flaws of any kind present. The UCAM designation stands for ultra-cameo and refers to proof coins that have strong, frosted designs overlaying deeply-mirrored, clear fields. The included FDOI label means the coins were received for grading within 24 hours of the US Mint’s original release date for the coins.
On the obverse of 2020-W Proof American Silver Eagle Coins is an image of Walking Liberty. Designed in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, this effigy of Liberty captures her full-length figure in left-profile relief. She is shown walking toward the sun on the horizon with her right hand outstretched and her left hand carrying the branches of oak and laurel.
The reverse side of the 2020-W 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle comes with the heraldic eagle design. Modified for this series in 1986 by John Mercanti, this heraldic eagle shows the American bald eagle in front-facing relief as it supports the US national shield. The bird clutches the arrows of war in one talon and the olive branch of peace in the other. Above its head is a cluster of 13 stars in a triangular formation.
