Each of the individual 2019 1/2 oz South Korean Silver Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals in this product listing are packaged inside of plastic flips. The medals in this listing are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and come from the low-mintage 2019 release of the 1/2 oz silver bullion version of the Chiwoo Cheonwang. This is the smallest silver bullion Chiwoo Cheonwang medal available.
Chiwoo Cheonwang designs progress each year. While some silver bullion series use random new designs with each year, KOMSCO has an approach to its new designs. Since 2016, followers of this series have seen Chiwoo go from battle preparation to the thick of the fight, culminating at the moment in this 2019 design.
On the obverse side of the 2019 1/2 oz South Korean Silver Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals is the depiction of Chiwoo’s battle shield. This design is common to all releases in this series and includes a large design of Do ggae bi on the shield used by Chiwoo. His shield has a half-moon cutout at its base and KOMSCO has used this space to engrave a latent security symbol on the obverse of the round. Other markings identify the weight, purity, metal content, and date of issue, as well as the nation of issue.
The reverse face of 2019 1/2 oz South Korean Silver Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals bears a depiction of Chiwoo Cheonwang. Fresh off of another victory over his enemies, Chiwoo is shown basking in the glow of his achievements. His shield rests at his side with his right hand steadying it as his left hand clutches the handle of his massive sword. His helmet is removed to give him a clear view of his victory.
