The Chiwoo Cheonwang Series from KOMSCO focuses on the famed God of War from Korean mythology. Rooted in the historical records of a real man, Chiwoo gained status as a God of War as a result of some of the many mythical powers attributed to him. It was said that during battles he had the ability to control the weather elements. In particular, it was suggested he could summon dense fogs to shroud the battlefield and confuse his enemies to the benefit of his own troops.
All 2018 1/2 oz South Korean Gold Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals in this product listing are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The 1/2 oz Gold Chiwoos are available individually inside of protective plastic flips and have very low mintage figures of just 1,000.
On the obverse side of 2018 1/2 oz South Korean Gold Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals is the image of Do ggae bi. The hobgoblin-like creature uses his grotesque appearance to ward off evil spirits.
