Each of the Star Trek television series featured a new crew in a different time and space, aboard a different flagship. When the fourth television series debuted in January 1995, Captain Kathryn Janeway was at the helm of the USS Voyager.
Star Trek: Voyager was set in the same time period as the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine series, and followed the USS Voyager and its crew as the group fought to return home to Earth on a 70,000 light-year journey. The series aired on UPN in the US until 2005, covering seven full seasons.
On the reverse side of all 2015 1 oz Star Trek USS Voyager Proof Silver Coins is the image of the flagship from the series, with the ship itself featured in silver and the universe in the background boasting brilliant colors. Engravings included the name “Star Trek” on the top, with the name “USS Voyager,” below, and the coin’s weight, purity, and metal content.
The obverse bears a right-profile depiction of England’s Queen Elizabeth II. The longest-reigning monarch in British history, her profile portrait was designed in 1988 by Ian Rank-Broadley, and represents the fourth update to her image on Perth Mint coins. Engravings include the coin’s face value, nation of issue, year of minting, and the Queen’s name.
