The 2006 issue of Reverse Proof American Silver Eagle Coins marked the first release of Silver Eagles by the Philadelphia Mint since 2000. From 1993 to 2000 the Philadelphia Mint issued the Proof Silver Eagle, while it also issued the BU Silver Eagle in 1999 and 2000. The reverse proof coin was issued in the aforementioned three-coin set originally.

Coins in this listing have full, original mint luster and feature no more than two minor detracting flaws. Those flaws are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines and limited in range to the areas outside of the primary focal points of the coin. On the obverse side of 2006-P Reverse Proof Silver Eagle Coins, you will find the Walking Liberty design. Created in 1916, it was designed by Adolph A. Weinman and shows Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the sun on the horizon with the American flag draped around her figure and her right hand outstretched. Her left hand carries the branches of oak and laurel.

The reverse field of 2006-P 1 oz Reverse Proof Silver Eagle Coins comes with the heraldic eagle design. One of America’s oldest coin designs, the heraldic eagle was first created in 1794. This particular design was modified in 1986 by John Mercanti to feature a powerful bald eagle supporting the US national shield.
