The mintage of 1883-CC Morgan Dollars was 1.204 million in total, the most since the debut of Morgan Dollars at the Carson City Mint in 1878.
Lady Liberty is on the obverse of 1883-CC Morgan Silver Dollar Coins. This design from George T. Morgan was created in 1878 and features Lady Liberty in left-profile relief with a Phrygian cap on her head. She also wears a coronet crown and a laurel wreath crown on her head in this design. There are 13 stars on this side of the coin, with a date mark at the bottom.
A heraldic eagle is depicted in the reverse design of the 1883-CC Morgan Dollars. This design was also created by George T. Morgan and depicts the eagle in front-facing relief. Here, the bald eagle has its wings spread as its talons clutch the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace. The design field also includes a wreath of oak and laurel around the eagle.
