The Carson City Mint, also known as the “CC Mint,” was located in Carson City, Nevada, USA. It was the second branch of the United States Mint to be established west of the Mississippi River, with the first being the New Orleans Mint.
All of the 1882-CC Morgan Silver Dollar Coins available here are Mint State 64+ specimens. Coins with the plus designation alongside their grade land on the higher end of a specific grade designation. Coins with this grade have average mint luster, a few small contact marks, and only one or two moderate contact marks.
On the obverse of the 1882 Morgan Silver Dollar, you will find the left-profile bust of Liberty. This portrait shows the head of Liberty with the coronet and laurel wreath crowns, as well as a ring of 13 stars around the design field.
The reverse side of 1882-CC Morgan Dollars comes with a depiction of the heraldic eagle. Both designs were created by George T. Morgan, with his version of the heraldic eagle on this side lacking the US national shield.
