All Morgan Silver Dollars struck at the San Francisco Mint will bear the “S” mint mark. San Francisco has struck Morgan Silver Dollars every year of the coin program’s existence. The 1881 coin is one of only two years that reached a mintage north of 10 million from San Francisco. 1881-S Morgan Silver Dollar Coins are available now, at JM Bullion.

1881-S Morgan Silver Dollar Coins will be packaged within NGC protective plastic flips. This will preserve their MS63 grade from the reputable coin grading provider. Mint State 63 coins have impaired mint luster with a variety of possible flaws. These flaws include several small contact marks, the possibility of heavier contact marks, and the potential for light hairlines visible without magnification.
The obverse field of all 1881-S Silver Dollar Coins showcases a depiction of Lady Liberty. This George T. Morgan design depicts Liberty from the neck up, donning the coronet crown and laurel wreath.
The reverse of 1881-S Morgan Silver Dollar Coins showcases the heraldic eagle. This image was designed by Assistant Engraver, George T. Morgan. It depicts a front-facing bald eagle with arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Identifying marks of the coin surround this striking image.
