In the obverse design of these American Silver Eagle Coins, you will find Adolph A. Weinman’s depiction of Walking Liberty. The image of Liberty is a left-profile relief that shows her full-length figure walking toward the horizon with the American flag draped around her figure as she extends her right hand while carrying the branches of oak and laurel in her left hand.

For the reverse side of 1 oz Silver Eagles, you will find either John Mercanti’s original design from 1986 or Emily Damstra’s new 2021 design for the reverse. The original design from Mercanti shows a bald eagle in front-facing relief with the US national shield, the arrows of war, and the olive branch of peace. Damstra’s design depicts an American bald eagle in flight with its wings extended and an oak branch in its talons.
