The facility is 168,000 square feet and staffs over 200 employees. They have the capacity to refine approximately 150 tonnes of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium annually.

The refining processes at OPM’s facility include pyro-metallurgical chlorination, wet chemical parting, wet chemical chlorination, electric furnace smelting, and solvent extraction. They can refine a wide variety of scrap metals to 99.9 percent pure silver and 99.99 percent pure gold. OPM can also upgrade impure precious metals to fine products. The official stamp has changed slightly over the years, but OPM’s name, the weight of the bar, and its purity are always included on the stamp.
