I’ve been trying to keep my stack all Sunshine Minting due to the security features. Have purchased 100, 10 and 1 oz bars from JM with no problems. The ability to buy at a discount with an e-check makes all the difference, as do their “Monday morning deals” which frequently have Sunshine products on sale with great “over spot” prices. I’ve been stacking for 30 yrs as well as accumulating Morgan Dollars, which I have begun selling at auction and investing in bullion with the proceeds so my kids don’t have to figure out what to do with a coin collection. JM’s been a great company to do business with.

I had been thinking long and hard about investing in PMs. I have some investment in PM mining, but I also wanted to have the actual physical items as well. After much thought and evaluation I decided to get into silver. For me, gold was out of my price range. But silver, throughout history, has also been a stable form of currency and investment.

I should’ve made my first purchase at the end of 2015 when the spot was just under $14, but I hesitated. After the prices spiked and then settled back down to $15.35 spot I made the move. Bought 20 1oz Sunshine bars along with 20 1oz Sunshine rounds in mid-March. I don’t regret on bit.

I investigated quite a few companies to determine where I should buy. JMB was tops on my list of companies from which to choose. Items came in perfect condition, and the whole JMB transaction went smoothly. Free shipping. No extraneous fees. One of the best in price over spot.

One month later and the price of silver is up almost $1/oz. I bought silver not for the short term but for the long term as a safety net in case of emergencies. With Deutsch Bank admitting last week that they and other banks have been manipulating both silver and gold since 2007, and the silver/gold ratio (which is normally 30-40:1) is currently at approx 80:1, I figure that my investment will serve me well down the line. I expect both gold and silver to go up in value.

I plan to buy more at some point. And when I do it’ll be with JMB.

Aside from the above mentioned brands, there are also countless others, though these tend to be the most popular. Many bars that you will run across are going to be stamped with unique images or logos. The only thing that you really need to look for is the weight and purity of the bar. So long as it is .999 and notes the weight, all silver bars are going to be equal in value based on their silver content.

First bars I’ve ever bought. Watched for a couple years at different brands and such. Which ones will sell easier than others and which are the best bang for your buck. In my opinion, now that Sunshine has figured out how to implement this new mint mark to easily verify authenticity, these will be way more popular than they ever were. This was my first order with JM and everything went smoothly. Arrived in about 4 days! It was packaged well, the bars were in perfect condition, NO milk spots, w/mirror finishes. The bars them selves look just like the older style Sunshine bars with the exception of the Anti-counterfeit S1 mark. Unfortunately, you have to buy the S1 Decoder card separately. I opted not to buy one as they cost as much as a 1oz bar! I may try polarized film? The only thing that does bother me about Sunshine bars is they have a column for a serial # that they leave blank on the 1 oz sized bars. This gives them the appearance that something is missing & may make future buyers question if there authentic. The S1 mark does somewhat make up for this. Serial numbered bars are also more likely to be recovered if stolen. All in all, I am happy w/my purchase & plan on buying more of these and others from JMBullion.

Love these 1oz sunshine bars. Come in sheets, each bar has its own sealed bubble in rows of 5 across. Outstanding value! JMBullion always has the best price and free shipping.

what is the problem with jm’s check policy. sure it may take a little longer for the check to clear but the price is locked in. i could give a lick about the holding period. prices fluctuate, the price i paid may be a bit more or less but it is locked in at the time of purchase. if you are willing to pay 4% more by paying by credit card, so be it. i would rather wait a few days and save some money. silver is a long term investment for me. quit bellyaching.

the security feature is what sets sunshine products apart from other mints including the us mint. i agree with others that the decoder card is a little pricey at $18. but it is a lot less than a spectrum analyzer and does not damage the silver as chemicals or a file would.

These are really great bars to buy for two reasons.
(1) These bars are some of the closet to spot price as you can get.
(2) They have the Mint mark SI technology thing.
I paid about $1.60 over spot, that is a very good price for these.
