Coin Highlights:
We are honored to offer authentic first-edition Morgan Dollars produced by the US Mint. These historic coins are a favorite amongst investors and collectors who appreciate the historical evolution of American coinage.
Both sides of the Morgan Dollar were designed by George T. Morgan for the 1878 issue of the Silver Dollar, though the obverse side was first seen on the 1877 half dollar. His model was Anna Willness Williams. Morgan's design was innovative for the time, because he desired Lady Liberty to have an American look, which broke the current tradition of Lady Liberty being depicted with a Greek styling. She is encircled by 13 five-pointed stars, the words E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the date.
The reverse of the coin is an updated version of the traditional heraldic eagle that was used for many coins. Morgan's eagle reflects his studies of living eagles in their natural settings. It is proportionally correct with delicately rendered feathers.
Additionally, the heraldic eagle's breastplate has been removed. This combination of elements culminates in a very appealing rendition of the American eagle. Morgan also introduced a branch of pine beneath the eagle's claws, which balanced and completed the composition. The words IN GOD WE TRUST appear above the eagles head. It is encircled with the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR.
We are pleased to carry a large inventory of rare, special edition, and limited edition coins in addition to premium quality bullion rounds, and bars. We invite you to browse our generous collection.

"Leslie, Are you sure you didn't opt for the $25.74 coin? The 1921's Morgan is what.... a dollar + less than the copin we are reviewing here, correct me if I'm wrong If not I hope you are compensated for the mix up. ~Rick Cape Cod P.S. I only ask because "JM Bullion" has always been a top notch provider of silver for my family and I and a mix up once let alone twice is very uncharacteristic of them."
