KISS is one of the legendary bands in music. In the reverse design of the KISS Colorized Creatures the Night Rounds, each artist’s name is depicted along with the iconic band emblem. The name engraved on this side reflects the name of the matching persona facepaint from the obverse. All rounds feature a black colorized background field.
The Starchild, Paul Stanley’s persona, represented the romantic, flamboyant frontman, complete with a star over his right eye. Gene Simmons adopted The Demon persona, with black and white makeup designed to create a menacing, tongue-wagging character. His theatrical blood-spitting and fire-breathing routines became legendary parts of KISS concerts. Ace Frehley’s Space Ace character featured silver face paint and portrayed a mysterious visitor from another planet, while Peter Criss’s Catman persona was inspired by his belief that he had nine lives.
