    The Cloud DevOps/Performance Engineer will work closely with the Manager of DevOps to build, manage, and automate our AWS infrastructure, as well as always ensuring the high performance of the systems.

    Essential Functions

    • Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
    • Work with technology partners to provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
    • Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform
    • Implement and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation in AWS
    • Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
    • Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS
    • Design, manage, and maintain tools to incorporate automated testing within application deployment pipelines
    • Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
    • Perform related work as required and adhere to all company policies and procedures

    Qualifications

    Experience

    • At least 3-5 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CodeDeploy, CloudFront, S3)
    • Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements
    • Expertise using tools like Chef for configuration management
    • Experience with Docker, GitHub Actions, CI Tools and deploying applications on AWS
    • Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools
    • Retail ecommerce experience a BIG PLUS
    • AWS DevOps certification and/or other AWS certification a BIG PLUS

    Education

    • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Information System, or equivalent work experience.
