    From 1841 to 1853, only two branch mints of the United States Mint issued the $10 Liberty Gold Eagle. The Philadelphia Mint had been the only mint to issue the coins from 1838 to 1840, with the New Orleans Mint beginning to strike the coins in 1841 and continuing to do so alongside Philadelphia during the aforementioned timeframe.
