After reaching multi-year lows in the past few weeks, gold and silver have rebounded in strong fashion to currently sit at $1,282 and $20.03, rising $26 and $0.70 on the day.
These increases in price come upon the words of US Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke, who indicated that despite the June minutes indicating a stoppage of the stimulus policies which helped drive gold and silver to recent highs, the Fed should be more accommodative during the taper-down period.
Investors saw this as a plus for the gold and silver outlooks, and prices rebounded as a result.
