A mixed bag of employment news was enough for gold and silver to improve just a little bit to bring this week to an end. At the end of the day, gold finished up about 4 dollars while silver was up only about half a dollar.
The stock market in the US is doing the best that it has in a while, in fact some are saying that US stocks are doing the best they have since the 1980s. With all of this attention on corporate stocks, one cannot really expect silver or gold to be able to gain too much ground. Precious metals finished the week at a decent level, but were down compared to the spike in value they experienced Tuesday and Wednesday.
Hopefully next week will see gold and silver grow again and maintain a solid stance and not be as unpredictable as the metals were this week.
