The week ended on yet another fairly uneventful day on Friday as both gold and silver moved only slightly. Gold dropped, but only by about one dollar and silver picked up a penny more than a dime.
All eyes remain fixated on Washington DC as government officials continue to work to find a resolution that will see much of the impact of the fiscal cliff be avoided. Unfortunately no one up to this point has been able to reach any sort of agreement and it seems as though our country may be gearing up to take on yet another recession, or at least what many believe is a perfect scenario for another recession to happen.
Besides the fiscal cliff there has not been much news to report as this week has been relatively slow due to it being right after Christmas yet before New Years. This coming week should be wild for investors especially if some sort of deal on the fiscal cliff is reached, although that seems to be more wishful thinking than anything at this point.
