Gold lost two dollars and silver dropped 22 cents on a day where trading was, for the most part, subdued. Most people are holding on to their precious metals or refraining from buying them because they are awaiting the outcome of tomorrow’s FOMC meeting on the possibility of the fiscal cliff. Both sides of the fiscal cliff issue have refused to move from their current positions, but they and we all know that it is vital a solution be reached sometime soon.

There was some good news out of Germany which alludes to the fact that their economy is beginning to show some signs of recovery and may even grow a little bit in the future. Because of this news the euro was boosted on Tuesday as well as European stocks which have been bouncing all over the place lately.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled because tomorrow and the news that stems from it may be of huge significance to all of the precious metals.
