There is no coin more popular with modern investors than the American Silver Eagle. Introduced in 1986, the American Silver Eagle is a titan of the precious metals market and sells millions of units each year. The United States Mint offers these 1 oz silver coins annually with no mintage maximum. The coins are traditionally shipped by the mint in sealed Monster Boxes, offering the most cost-effective means of investing in silver. Right now, American Silver Eagle Monster Boxes from random years are available at JM Bullion.
Box Highlights:
Each American Silver Eagle Monster Box available here comes with a total of 500 American Silver Eagle Coins inside. The coins are packaged within the box in acrylic tubes of 20 coins each, with a total of 25 separate tubes. All coins inside are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Please note that each Monster Box will feature 500 coins from the same year of issue. For example, a 2012 Monster Box would contain 500 coins from the 2012 Silver Eagle Series. However, we cannot guarantee the year of issue for any given Monster Box. All boxes will be chosen to fulfill your order after your payment has cleared.
The obverse of each American Silver Eagle features one of America’s most iconic coin designs. Created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, this visual is known as Walking Liberty and was first used on the US Half Dollar from 1916 to 1947. The image shows Liberty’s full-length figure in left-profile relief with the American flag draped around her figure, branches of oak and laurel in her left hand, and her right hand reaching out toward the sun on the horizon.
On the reverse of 1 oz Silver Eagle Coins, the US Mint features one of two possible designs. From 1986 to mid-2021, the US Mint used John Mercanti’s depiction of the heraldic eagle on the reverse of the coins. This emblem features the bald eagle in front-facing relief with the US national shield, the arrows of war, and the olive branch of peace. Since mid-2021, a new depiction of the American bald eagle by Emily Damstra has graced the coins. The design shows the eagle midflight as it swoops downward with a large oak branch in its talons.
When it comes to investment grade Silver Eagles, Monster Boxes are the most popular choice. Aside from providing an opportunity to save the most money, these boxes are also very easy to buy and sell in the future. Beyond this, since they are sealed from the US Mint, you are able to be assured of their quality and authenticity.
