Barber Quarters represent one of the more recent designs in the quarter-dollar denomination from the United States Mint. Named for Charles E. Barber, the 6th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint who created all of the designs for the dime, quarter, and half dollar in the early 20th century, the series was not appreciated in its time but has a following among modern silver bullion investors. Right now, 90% Silver Barber Quarters are available to purchase online from JM Bullion with a $1 Face Value total.

Cull coins are those that have signs of significant damage on the design elements and surface areas. That damage can range from heavy wear on the designs to holes, dents, and deep scratches.
Charles E. Barber served as the 6th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint from 1880 until his death in 1917. He was the successor of William Barber, his father, who served as the Chief Engraver of the United States Mint before he took over.
On the obverse face of the 90% Silver Barber Quarters is the image of Lady Liberty in right-profile relief. Liberty is depicted here in a design that is inspired by Greco-Roman design elements and is considered one of the least-pleasant designs from the US Mint in its era. Liberty wears a crown wreath and is accompanied by inscriptions of the national motto, date mark, and 13 stars.
The reverse side of 90% Silver Barber Quarters includes a version of the heraldic eagle of the United States. Barber designed this image for the US quarter and it was used on both the quarter-dollar coin and half-dollar coin. The heraldic eagle of the United States includes a bald eagle with the national shield on its chest, arrows in one talon, and an olive branch in the other.
