Charles E. Barber is the man whose name has gone down in history attached to the obverse and reverse designs of the US dime, quarter, and half dollar produced from 1892 to 1916. Barber served as the 6th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint through his death in 1917. He created a shared bust of Liberty that was used on all three coins, with his heraldic eagle depiction on the reverse of the larger two denominations, while the dime had only its face value inside of a wreath as the design element.
All of the 90% Silver Barber Halves in this product listing are housed in pairs inside of a plastic bag to produce a combined face value of $1 (USD). This means you receive two 90% Silver Barber Halves, each one with 90% silver content and 10% copper. The coins will have various possible date marks between 1892 and 1916. You may receive two coins with the same date mark or two coins with different date marks. Further, all of the coins are in Good+ condition. This means the coins are worn from circulation, but still have a visible design and date mark. The “plus” indicates the coins are on the higher end of the good range.
