The Geiger Original Series of gold and silver bars features variety suitable to any investor. The silver bars range in weight from the diminutive 1 Gram bar up to these massive 5000 Gram specimens. The gold series offers equal variety, with weights ranging from 1 Gram as well to a cap of 1 Kilo (1000 Grams). Each bar in the collection, regardless of size, has the most iconic of Geiger’s design images on the obverse.
On the obverse of the 5000 Gram Geiger Square Silver Bar is the Schloss Guldengossa castle. This structure was built in 1720 with a Baroque style just outside the city of Leipzig in southeastern Germany’s Saxony region. The castle would eventually become the first registered facility of Geiger Edelmetalle, and today it serves as the corporate headquarters for the refinery.
The reverse of the Geiger Square Silver Bars features the refinery’s LEV rhombus logo, set on a 45-degree angle in a repeating pattern across the bar. There is also a unique serial number engraved on this side of the bar that features a one-letter, seven-number coding.
Both sides of the bar feature a variety of anti-counterfeiting measures. The image of Schloss Guldengossa on the obverse is enhanced with the use of a pearl finish, while the reverse LEV rhombus is struck with a textured, high-relief finish. There is also a ribbed edge around the bars typically found only on bullion coinage. The reverse also has a UV coating that showcase the LEV rhombus and highlights the serial number when exposed to a black light.
