Each of the 50 Gram Geiger Square Gold Bars available in this product listing comes to you in brand-new condition from the mint. The gold bars are packaged individually inside of sealed assay blistercards. The assay card included within the assay capsule features the mint name and the slogan “Made in Germany” on one side, with the authenticating details such as weight, purity, and metal content on the other side of the card.
Geiger Square Gold Bars combine the beauty of Geiger’s original designs, namely the Schloss Guldengossa castle, with the latest in security features. These security features are built into the design of the bar and within the features added to the bar and its packaging. These include a total of seven distinctive security features.
Schloss Guldengossa is featured on the obverse side of 50 Gram Geiger Square Gold Bars. The gold bar has a pearl finish on this side behind the image of the Baroque castle of Schloss Guldengossa, a castle built in the 18th century outside of Leipzig, Germany. The edges of the gold bars include a ribbed element, a feature more common in gold bullion coins than gold bars.
The LEV rhombus of Geiger Edelmetalle is found on the reverse field of the 50 Gram Geiger Square Gold Bar. The rhombus element repeats throughout the entirety of the background field on the bar. There is a space on this side of the bar for the individual serial number and there is an invisible layer of a UV, blue coating. When viewed under blue light, the reverse reveals another LEV rhombus at the center and also illuminates the serial number of the bar.
Geiger Edelmetalle was founded in the Saxony region of Germany in the 13th century. Opened in 1218, the mint has long been at the heart of the silver-mining region of Germany. Today, the mint remains a family-owned operation.
