Muchas image of Champagne was created in 1896, right around the time he created the image of Job that helped launch his career. Muchas career turned upward after he created an advertising poster for a playhouse production. Champagne was one of his most famous early works, and was commissioned for F. Champenois.
The image of Champagne has been recreated many times for various clients of Mucha during his lifetime. However, Champagne was originally created for and included in the Exposition dAffiches Artistiques Francaises & Etrangeres Moderns & Retrospectives held in Rheims, France in November of 1896.

The obverse of all 5 oz Proof Mucha Collection Champagne Silver Rounds includes the image of Champagne. She is depicted with her hair up and an array of flowers and leaves surrounding her head. As with many other Mucha Women, her features are soft and beautiful.
