Shakespeare’s play pits revenge and bitterness against freedom and forgiveness, with the latter winning out. Ariel is the image of freedom and forgiveness in this design, displaying no signs of aggression against the powerful oak tree and expressing in form only her desire for freedom from its clutches.
On the obverse of the 5 oz Antique Silverbug Tree Fairy Silver Round you’ll find the image of Ariel as she levitates right in front of the powerful oak tree. Her angelic figure is small and docile in the face of the oak tree’s muscular, brute strength. Engravings on the round include the year of issue, “2017,” and the Silverbug motto of “In Silver We Trust.”
The reverse side of all Silverbug Tree Fairy Silver Rounds includes the image of the scarab beetle. Beginning with the third release in the series, the scarab beetle’s visual appeal was upgraded through hand-carving of the design. Included engravings on this face feature silver’s periodic element lettering “Ag,” as well as the weight, purity, and metal content. A final engraving at the bottom reads “For the Silverbug Community.”
