Known in Christianity as “The Passion” or “The Passion of Jesus,” the image of Jesus Christ dying on the cross at the hands of the Romans is the short, final period of life for Jesus Christ. There are accounts of The Passion in four canonical gospels written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. All of them account for the death of Jesus Christ.
All of these 30 oz Antique Finish Silversmith Judges Series The Passion Silver Statues are available to you with protective materials around the statue and a shipping box for handling. The silver statues from Hotco all come with antique polish that helps create old-world charm in the imagery and heirloom quality for the piece. The base of the statues includes laser-etched inscriptions of the weight and purity of the piece, along with a unique serial number. That serial number is reflected in the number printed on the Certificate of Authenticity provided by Hotco with your purchase of the statue.
These 30 oz Antique Finish Silversmith Judges Series The Passion Silver Statues depict the final moments of life for Jesus Christ. After a mock trial in front of Hebrew leaders and the government officials of the Roman Empire in Judea, Jesus was flogged, draped in a purple robe, and given a crown of thorns in mocking honor of his status as the so-called “King of the Jews.”
In this design, Christ’s body hangs lifelessly from the cross. His hands are nailed out to the sides with his feet nailed together. As his head hangs low, the crown of thorns digs in and a humble cloth covers his midsection. There is a sign “nailed” to the top of the cross that, according to most Biblical depictions, has a Latin inscription of “Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudeorum.” Translated to English, it reads “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.”
