Each 2026 1 oz Australian Silver Lunar Horse Coin arrives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and is individually encapsulated. Multiples will be packaged in sealed rolls of 20 coins or boxes of 100 coins, with each box holding five tubes of 20 coins. All coins come with a security element on the reverse that is only visible under magnification.

The Horse years occur every twelve years in the Gregorian calendar, with recent and upcoming years including 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, 2026, and 2038. Each Horse year is further classified by one of the five elements in Chinese philosophy: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water, creating a sixty-year cycle before the same element-animal combination repeats. On the reverse of the 2026 1 oz Silver Lunar Horse Coin, the mint showcases a scene of a mare and her foal running across vibrant grasslands, with a backdrop of towering mountains. This artwork was designed by Ing Ing Jong, who first contributed a lunar-themed design to The Perth Mint in 2013.
